We are very excited to invite you to the Can-Am Classic Open Martial Arts Tournament.

We invite all styles of Martial Arts to join us for a day full of amazing competition, sportsmanship and camaraderie.


The 2025 Can Am Classic will take place on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at the Avana Centre, 1700 Elphinstone Street, Regina Sask.

We are excited to offer the following divisions.

  • Point Sparring
  • Empty Hand Forms
  • Weapons Forms
  • Weapons Sparring​
  • Musical Forms

The tournament will also have cash prizes for the following Grand Champions

  • ADULT BLACK BELT SPARRING GRAND CHAMPION - $100 prize money
  • ADULT BLACK BELT OVERALL GRAND CHAMPION - $100 prize money
  • MUSICAL FORMS CHAMPION - $50 prize money

The Can-Am Classic is a ranked tournament for the 2026 SMAA PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONSHIPS.

As a thank you to our officials and to make our event more family friendly we offer discounts for officials as well as for family members.

OFFICIALS: As a thank you for your support we offer the following for officials:

  • Black Belt judges will receive $10 discount and lunch is provided.
  • Blue/Brown Belts officials ages 16+ will receive a $5 discount.​

FAMILY DISCOUNTS are offered for immediate families of the same household registering 3 or more competitors

  • Third Family Member - $10 discount
  • Fourth (or more) Family Member - $15 discount

The Can Am Classic is a Saskatchewan Martial Arts Association Sanctioned Event

As a SMAA Sanctioned event, the Can Am Classic will follow the rules of the Saskatchewan Martial Arts Association (SMAA) with the exception of Demonstration Challenge which is not an SMAA division.
